Arriving at Juurikkasaari<\/h3>\n

Juurikkasaari has excellent transport connections, whether you come by water, bike, public transport or your own car! The fastest way to reach Juurikkasaari’s services and beautiful landscapes is a 20-minute drive from the center of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

By public transport<\/h3>\n

Juurikkasaari is easily accessible from the center of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 by local buses number 21, 16, and 16M. The bus ride takes about half an hour, and from the bus stop, it\u2019s only an 800-meter walk to Juurikkasaari. You can find the bus schedules here.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

By Car<\/h3>\n

There is plenty of free parking space available at Juurikkasaari. The drive from Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 city center takes about 20 minutes. Please note: during big events, parking spaces are arranged in the nearby area. By Boat<\/h3>\n

Our guest dock welcomes visitors arriving via Lake P\u00e4ij\u00e4nne! The boat trip from downtown Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 takes just about an hour. The terrace by the shore, with its stunning views of Lake P\u00e4ij\u00e4nne, is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful spots on the lake. Read more about our boat dock here!<\/p>\n

Please note! Visitors arriving by boat, please use the stern buoy (no side attachments) so that as many boaters as possible can dock. Thank you very much![\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

By Bike<\/h3>\n

Juurikkasaari is an excellent cycling destination, as the route from downtown Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 and Muurame follows bike paths, so there’s no need to ride along busy roads. The bike trip from downtown Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 takes about an hour.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=””]<\/p>\n

By taxi<\/h3>\n

Through Jytaksi you can order a ride from the center of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 to Juurikkasaari and\/or back to the center of Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 at a fixed contract price during the summer season 2025. Prices\/direction \u20ac57 for 1-4 people or \u20ac67 for 5-8 people (+ waiting time \u20ac1.03\/min.). Reservations by calling 0100 6900 (call price \u20ac2.37\/answered call + \u20ac1.52\/min + landline\/mobile).<\/p>\n

Accessibility<\/h3>\n

The Main House of Juurikkasaari is an accessible venue for wheelchair users. You can drive right up to the entrance of the Juhlatalo and enter the building via a ramp. The dining and restroom facilities at Juhlatalo are wheelchair accessible.<\/p>\n

During the summer, the lakeside terrace, grill, and tent sauna are also accessible to wheelchair users.<\/p>\n
