Come on Saturday, July 11th to enjoy the energy of Cuban rhythms over good food and drinks, and dance your way to heaven or come watch others do it… there’s plenty of dancing space and the style is free!

An unforgettable summer day on the shores of Lake Päijänne to the rhythm of energetic Cuban rhythms awaits you!
The event starts with a basic pair salsa lesson, which starts from scratch and is suitable for complete beginners – everyone can get into the dance steps if they want. During the class, you dance either in pairs or solo, depending on the situation, and you don’t need a partner.
After the beginner class, you can enjoy a delicious taco buffet with Cuban and other Latin American music.
After the buffet, a DJ and band will heat up the dance floor at Rantapaviljongi, and in small guided dance sessions (animaciónes), everyone who wants to can let loose under the guidance of a lead dancer. You can enjoy the atmosphere over refreshing drinks, following the dancers’ enthusiasm, diving into the band’s amazing interpretations, or throwing yourself into the dance.
The day will be paced by Bomba Buena, a four-piece energy bomb playing Cuban dance music, which is very Helsinki-based at the moment, and whose vibe is equivalent to a full ten-piece timba orchestra! Expect traditional classics adapted for today, as well as stunning versions of the best of modern Cuban dance music.

The official event ends at 6 pm, after which the music and dancing continue. At the end of the dance evening, you can book yourself a sauna session and take a dip in Lake Päijänne to cool off: 12,50€/person.
